Van Gogh Harvest Skies

Last class of Famous Fall. Kids did a variation on Van Gogh’s Starry Night. We made the paintings into Harvest Skies at night with an orange harvest moon & stars. The students painted in Van Gogh’s signature broken/dancing brush strokes. Each individual came up with their own composition. The goal of the painting was to have a low horizon line (field & mountains), an off-centre tree and then swirling sky, stars, moon. Each one is unique and follows it’s own vision. I love them!

There are only six paintings here as three of our students had to miss class today unfortunately.
